People in certain professions such as those related to art, construction, homemaking, as a land owner, or as a care taker generally do not need to report their income.

Remember that income verification documents may vary depending upon whether the petitioner for a Visa is a student. This becomes infinitely more complicated if you are married, or if you have children since you will need to prove that you can pay for your tuition as well as support your family.
