How Great it is to Have a Membership at a Country Club for Us as Parents and Our Children!
The one thing that families enjoy doing together, but also individually, is having fun at home and during family travel. With one or both parents always working, and the children in school, getting everyone to spend quality time with each other may be a rarity.
We as a family can do many things together when we finally get this time, but with a country club membership, our time and money is very well spent. This is why we, like many people, joined the country club at Boca Pointe.
Here are a few of the benefits of joining a country club that we, as parents, and our kids enjoy during family travel.
Dining
Destinations such as parks or local swimming pools don’t always have a place where people can dine out on site. If they do, the food options may be very limited, so we might only have our pick between a greasy cheeseburger or a corn dog.
Since many people go to country clubs to enjoy the food, hold business meetings, or arrange social luncheons, many country clubs provide visitors with a full menu stuffed with options, from Mac ‘n’ Cheese and hot dogs to prime rib and lobster.
Variety of activities
Ideally, when we want to be active or just enjoy the weather, we want to have many activities to choose from, whether active sports or quiet poolside lounging. With country clubs, all those activities are in one great place instead of being scattered around town.
We get memberships to enjoy golfing, tennis, swimming or even weightlifting at the onsite gym. The country club is great for parents who want to play a game of golf while the kids take a dip in the pool to cool off on a hot day.
Less crowded
When we are looking for a place to go and have a little fun in the sun, such as the beach or a local park, our favorite local spot may be crowded. On a warm day when everyone is making plans to get out of the house, free activities are likely to attract families.
By joining a country club, during family travel, we avoid this crowding and disappointment. Our family sees no lines, no waiting and nothing but fun because not everyone in the city will have a club membership. They won’t overcrowd the club’s services.
Spending time together on family travel is always nice, but so, too, is having somewhere to go so families can engage in individual activities each family member enjoys. This is not a luxury available to all families.
The country club at Boca Pointe was an affordable and amazing option for us. Country clubs may not always seem affordable, but when we looked at the perks and considered the time saved and the fun we could have during every visit, our decision made sense.
